Ehime Prefecture, where the company's headquarters are located, is one of Japan's leading mother-of-pearl producing regions. Since its founding, YOKOZAKI has been working on developing labor-saving equipment for the pearl farming industry. In 1977, founder Yasuhiro Yokozaki began manufacturing and selling pearl farming equipment (weight-type sorting machines for mother oysters), marking the beginning of "YOKOZAKI sorting machines."
Working with pearl producers, we went through a process of trial and error. Our efforts paid off, and we were able to successfully commercialize the product thanks to the cooperation of our customers. This experience established Yokozaki as a "pioneer of new ideas" among sorting machine manufacturers.
"Gentleness" in products
YOKOZAKI has always focused on developing high-level technology and always prioritized providing products that customers can use with peace of mind. The manufacturing spirit of "creating products that are easy for anyone to use" lives on in all YOKOZAKI products.
We believe that creating products that are "easy for anyone to use" will be one way to stem the decline of the primary industry in today's super-aging society. "Convenient products" alone will not satisfy all customers. It is kindness that leads to a true sense of security.
